Art Gone Wild features Painting Animals: original works of art created by ABQ BioPark Zoo elephants, primates, alligators, insects and more.Weems Gallery
will include more than 50 paintings from more than 20 animals. Rozie and Alice the elephants, Sarabi the African lioness, Azeo the snow leopard and Tusa the lowland gorilla all created paintings for the exhibit.

Local New Mexican artists are also selling original art work. Participating human artists include David Moss, Dana Pomroy, Fred Yost, Mary Oelschlaeger, Weems, Lu Heater and Mary Beth Goforth.
Proceeds from art sales provide enrichment items for animal artists at the Zoo. Keepers set up monthly painting sessions and other enrichment activities to provide animals with exercise and stimulation.
