Ojo Caliente mineral springs. Relax, refresh and rejuvenate your spirit.

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort and Spa

When you need a mini vacation and cant afford one, this is a good way to unwind and forget your troubles. There are several mineral pools with different healing properties. The whole area is a whisper zone, to preserve the tranquility of the atmosphere. Sometimes peace and quiet can reverse the sensory overload of everyday life. If you enjoy a nice hot tub soak, add in healing mineral waters from deep inside the earth, beautiful cliffside views, and a tranquil experience. This is definitely the place to go.
For a better explanation of the mineral waters and benefits here is a link to Ojo Calliente's page Ojo Caliente mineral waters.
If you go on a weekday the entry fee isn't too bad, and includes access to the public mineral pools, mud pool, steam room, and sauna. They have a free promotion called Birthday Bliss for New Mexico residents which allows free entry on your actual birthday. Ok, thats how they got me in, they said the word free.
I had recently gone for my birthday. If you can get me to spend a birthday there, you have something pretty awesome. I compared my first experience there to a full body massage and utter relaxation. My second experience was relaxed and tranquil, feeling like my mind was erased of all my troubles, and  body was refreshed. Besides I have enough ailments the water is believed to cure, it sure couldn't hurt to try. Every little bit helps.

Here's the basic rates for entry. everything is per person.
Monday - Thursday $30,              Friday, Saturday, Sundays, holidays $45
Sunset rates after 6pm Monday - Thursday $25    Friday, Saturday, Sunday, holidays $38

Need a ride. Take the bus. $2 all day pass

Were a growing city and the public bus system is getting better. So might as well take advantage and save some money. $2 regular fare allows multiple stops and routes all day long. From this screen you can enter your starting point and destination cabq Bus routes  The Transit planner will map out your trip for you via Google maps and include bus times, walking time and distance, and you can send the route to your phone, printer, email or even a link. The drivers my friend and I have encountered have been friendly and helpful, including greeting people boarding and leaving the bus. Customer service on a bus, its a good thing.

Some bus riding tips
  • Do bring exact amount, bus drivers cant make change.
  • check the latest time your bus runs to your destination.
  • bicyclists can store their bike on the front of the bus just remind the driver when you exit.
  • allow extra time to arrive on time.
