Local iQ Magazine presents the fourth annual installment of the state's biggest microbrew festival — the NEW MEXICO BREW FEST. Held on the beautiful grounds of the Villa Hispana complex at NM Expo, NMBF features an ever-expanding lineup of New Mexico breweries pouring tastes and pints to thirsty hop heads. New Mexico Breweries on site will be Abbey Brewing Co. • Blue Corn • Bosque Brewing • Broken Bottle • Chama River • Duel • Il Vicino • Back Alley Draft House • High Desert • La Cumbre • Las Cazuelas • Little Toad Creek • Marble • Mimbres • Nexus • Rio Grande • Sandia Chile Grill • Santa Fe Brewing • Santa Fe Spirits • Second Street • Sierra Blanca • Taos Mesa • Tractor • Turtle Mountain
Eight out of state breweries will also be on hand in the WHOLE FOODS MARKET BEER VILLAGE, including New Belgium, Deschutes, Stone, Oskar Blues, Left Hand Brewing, Odell & Sierra Nevada
Also included in this five hour Oktoberfest-themed event is a roster of inventive local food trucks, including Supper, Rustic and The Last Call and hours of live music all set in a very family-friendly, picnic-like atmosphere.
Bands confirmed to play this year are Santa Fe's Todd and the Fox, Mondo Vibrations, 11-piece German oompah band Die Polka-schlingel and Arizona's premier Irish rock band Keltic Cowboys. For a preview of the music this year, view the videos posted below.
